Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
AliExpress Tracking ("we", "us") operates aliexpresstracking.co. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version: we do not have accounts, so we hold very little about you. We keep tracking numbers briefly so the tool works, and we run analytics so we know which pages are useful.
What we collect
Tracking numbers you enter. We send them to carrier systems and caching partners to retrieve status information. A tracking number is not personally identifying on its own, but a carrier response may include a destination city, a postcode, or a partial address. We do not store the personal fields returned by carriers.
Cached results. We hold tracking results for up to 30 days so repeat lookups are faster and so we can produce aggregate transit-time statistics. These caches are keyed to the tracking number, not to you.
Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and pages viewed. Standard server and analytics data.
Cookies. Essential cookies for the site to function, plus analytics cookies if you consent. See the cookies section below.
Anything you send us. Name, email, and message content when you use the contact form.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for an account, a password, or a payment method. We do not have access to your AliExpress account. We do not ask for your date of birth, government ID, or financial details, and you should never send them to us.
Why we process this data
To return tracking results, which is the entire purpose of the site. To keep it working and defend against abuse and automated scraping. To understand which pages people find useful. To reply when you contact us. To publish aggregate, anonymised delivery statistics that cannot identify any individual parcel or person.
Legal bases under GDPR: legitimate interest for operating and securing the service, consent for analytics and non-essential cookies, and contract performance for responding to your enquiries.
How long we keep it
- Tracking numbers and cached results: up to 30 days.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Analytics data: as configured in our analytics provider, currently 14 months.
- Contact form messages: up to 24 months.
Who we share it with
Carrier and aggregation partners, in order to retrieve tracking data. Our hosting and CDN provider. Our analytics provider. Nobody else.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. If we ever introduce advertising, this policy will be updated before it goes live, not after.
We may disclose information where a law or a valid legal request requires it.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site functioning and cannot be switched off without breaking it.
Analytics cookies help us see which pages get used. These load only after you consent through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time from your cookie preferences.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop the tracking tool from working.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. If you are in California, CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@aliexpresstracking.co. We respond within 30 days. Because we do not hold accounts, we may need extra detail to locate any data connected to you.
International transfers
Carrier partners operate in China, the EU, the US and elsewhere. Using the service means tracking data is transmitted internationally. Transfers out of the EEA and UK rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision where one applies.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS throughout, restrict internal access to logs and caches, and review our providers periodically. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
Pages here link to AliExpress, carrier websites, and other services. Their privacy practices are their own and this policy does not cover them.
Changes
We will update this page when practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
